Tax and Estate Planning
Waserstein Nunez & Foodman help our clients protect their wealth, administer assets, manage family disputes, and save taxes. Our clients include wealthy individuals and families throughout the world, including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
We provide tax and estate planning advice including pre-immigration planning, business succession planning, and individual and corporate advice. Our tax advice also involves the structuring or restructuring of family businesses, corporate deals, and joint ventures or investments.
Our advice is the first step to creating a plan for our clients which is practical and solution driven. Once the plan is adopted, we will implement the plan by preparing the necessary documents like wills, trusts, family limited parnterships, or operating agreements, selecting and forming the proper entity, assisting in appointing trustees or other fiduciaries, and any other necessary legal service.
In providing advice or creating a plan, we use our significant experience in representing clients who were audited or investigated by the Internal Revenue Service, or otherwise in a tax dispute with the Internal Revenue Service. Our experience includes defending clients during any criminal investigation or prosecution for a tax crime. This experience is also crucial in helping our clients become compliant with U.S. tax laws.
In sum, we combine our knowledge of tax law and other areas of the law with our resources and experience in civil and criminal tax controversies, business, and litigation to provide practical and innovative solutions. As a result, our representation, often times, grows to include all aspects of a client's business and personal affairs. We often become the outside version of "in house" counsel for our clients.
